It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome you to the 6th EWaS International Conference (EWaS6), which will take place on 11–14 May 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

EWaS6 is a landmark event, the first conference in the world to be co-organized by University Departments of Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Medicine, bringing together two disciplines that rarely meet within a structured scientific setting. Our theme, “Safeguarding Water & Health in a Financially, Socially and Environmentally Fragile Era”, reflects the urgent need for interdisciplinary thinking and innovative solutions. The fusion of engineering precision with medical insight creates fertile ground for breakthroughs that can reshape the way we protect and manage the most vital resource of all, water.

The human body itself represents the most sophisticated and at the same time perfect hydraulic network: the heart as a perfect pump, the kidneys and liver as advanced filters, the lungs as optimized regulators, the valves as necessary check points. These natural systems mirror the very water networks we study, offering powerful insights into resilience, adaptability, and efficiency. At the same time, medical science continues to benefit from engineering in materials, flow dynamics, and system design. By bringing these worlds together, EWaS6 aspires to ignite a new era of scientific synergy.

Your expertise, your critical perspective, and your commitment to research excellence will be the foundation of this ambitious dialogue.
